Volunteering to keep Boise’s river clean – 18 September
2004
On 18 September 2004, Norm Zachary
and five of his Cobblestone Construction employees volunteered
at Boise’s
Annual River Sweep.
The event was organized by the City
of Boise and sponsored in part by Partners for Clean Water.
Several hundred volunteers converged on Boise’s riverbanks
and together they collected 45 cubic yards of trash.
Cobblestone Construction’s
Managing Director, Norm Zachary, said, “Environmental
issues are very important to us at Cobblestone Construction
– particularly water pollution. We had great fun at the
River Sweep and if people would like to make their contribution
to Idaho’s water quality, we hope they will consider interlocking
concrete pavers as they too can help in this area.”
